Russian Philology (Full-time Programme)
In the Russian Philology programme, students study the Russian language and literature. Courses cover contemporary Russian language (phonetics, lexicology, morphology, syntax, and pragmatics), the history and poetics of Russian literature throughout its evolution from ancient times to the present, in the context of Russian culture; theory and practice of translation, cultural studies, history of the Russian language, stylistics, as well as general philological linguistic and literary disciplines.
In the third and fourth years, specialized training is offered within either a translation or teaching profile (elective). Students can choose to study both profiles simultaneously. There is also an option to study at foreign universities through the Erasmus programme.
Career Opportunities:
Graduates can work as translators, teachers of Russian language and literature, journalists, editors in media and publishing houses for fiction and academic literature, diplomats, specialists in public administration, private companies, tour guides, and Russian language experts in tourism, among other fields.
