Dear colleagues,

 

The Department of Slavic Linguistics and the Department of Slavic Literatures at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski are pleased to invite you to take part in the Tenth National Slavic Studies Conference that will take place from April 22th to April 24th 2010 at the Bulgarian Red Cross National Education Centre in the village of Lozen near Sofia.

 

The topic of the Tenth National Slavic Studies Conference is

 

Truth, Mystification and Lie in Slavic Languages,

Literatures and Cultures

 

The conference will be held in memory of

Prof. Svetomir Ivanchev ( To His Ninetieth Anniversary)

 

We would be glad if your papers conform to the topic of one of the following sections:

– Fact and Fiction in Oral and Written Culture

– Norm, Discourse Practices and Language Ideology in Slavonic Languages

 

Potential contributors are invited to deliver 20-minute presentation that may have approximately 10 standard pages, including a list of references, two abstracts (one in a Slavic language different from the language of the main text and another one in English) and no more than five key words. The working languages of the conference are all Slavic languages, English, French and German.

The papers will be accepted for publishing after review and selection. Please, submit the printed as well as the electronic version of the paper using Word, Windows and Times New Roman font.

Conference fee is 40 BGN (20 EUR).
